What to Expect
during training, your first day and beyond!
What should I wear?
What should I bring with me my first day?
Please make sure to be on time and check your email and voicemails for any updates from your manager.
Please make sure you are dressed in proper attire.
Please make sure to bring in two forms of your ID.
Please make sure to bring a hat if it's hot out, lunch, water bottle and a jacket depending on the weather.
Where should I park?
Please park on the street near the dealership, or if there is not street parking available, park in customer parking in the furthest spot from the entrance. Please leave the closest spots available for the dealership customers. Always remember that we are there to help them sell cars!
How will my mileage be added?
We use Google API that will calculate the distance travelled between your first scheduled dealership and each stop until you have reached your last scheduled dealership, much like you would if you were searching for directions to/from another destination.
You will see the calculated miles at the end of the day during your clock-out process. If you notice anything that looks off to you, please email time@promotionpix.com for review.
What about those donuts?
Some dealerships have coffee or baked goods for their service customers. Please refrain from taking any of these items, even if you see others do so. We want to remain professional and humble in our service to the dealer, and remember that we are there to help them get more customers!
What is training like?
Photographers are trained in multiple different ways.
First Week In-Person Training
During the first week, a manager or a lead photographer will go with you to the dealership in your market, introduce you to the staff at the dealerships, show you how to walk the lot, communicate with the dealership staff, and shoot the vehicles. There is a lot to learn the first week!
The goals for the initial training should be laid out clearly so that both the new photographer and the trainer know everything that should be covered.
Zoom Training
Additional training is provided over zoom with remote managers who will walk you through procedures, or coach you on certain shots, etc.
Reviews
All photographer photos are reviewed, so please expect the management team to look for areas of improvement. You will receive the reviews over email. Please click on the button within the review to acknowledge that you understand, or send a message or question back!
